FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do you have litters?

We are a small cattery and produce 1-2 litters per year. All of our cats and kittens are pets and live with us until they are adopted.

How much is the adoption fee?

Adoption fees range from $1,900 to $2,800 and vary depending on factors such as age and physical features. If you are curious about our current or upcoming liter please send a question using our Kitten Inquiry form.  Once you have selected a kitten and we mark it as reserved we require a $500 non refundable deposit (cash or check) and the remainder will be due when you pickup your kitten (cash, or money order).  In the event of unforseen family issues or a kitten doesn't make it you can select another or we can try to work something out.

What is their personality like?

Devon Rex are well known for their friendly, loving and playful personality. They love to be around their owners and other people. They are very energetic and require love and play. They can be taught to fetch and walk on leashes as well.

What does their fur feel like?

Their fur is extremely soft and most people associate the texture and feeling with velvet.

When will I be able to pickup my kitten?

Kittens are available for pickup after they are 2lbs and that is generally around 16 weeks old but might be up to weight as soon as 12 weeks.  We prefer if you arrive and pick them up but arrangements can be made to fly them if required for an added fee.  Please be sure to bring a carrier when you pick them up.

What food do they prefer?

Diet and quality food is very important for your Devon to have a long and healthy life. We generally recommend these foods: Grain free,Core Wellness, Origen, Taste of the Wild, innova Evo, Merrick’s Before Grain, Natural Balance, etc. You can can also ask your veterinarian for input on what might be quality and available in your area.

Do you spay or neuter your pets before pickup?

We prefer that you have that done at your local veternarian to establish a good history with them.  Once you have done that then we will fill out and provide you the papers certifying your pets breed. If you need different arrangements please contact us and talk about that before hand.
